The Planet

Energy from the sun drives the processes that make Earth suitable for life as we know it. Our spinning planet, uses sunlight and the oceans to make the weather. Huge circulating ocean currents, dominant wind patterns, and jet streams in the upper atmosphere all affect our weather patterns.

Climate change is unsettling things, and bringing more frequent and intense drought, stronger storms and extreme heat waves. These shifting weather patterns will continue to affect all life on Earth in differing ways at different times. In particular long established ecosystems reliant on the timing , character and duration of the seasons will suffer stress.
